About Us

Tendering & Supply

We want to work with suppliers (big and small) who can demonstrate a commitment to our standards. We appreciate that not all these standards may be relevant, however we ask that suppliers chose those which are most important to them and demonstrate how these are applied in their everyday work either in policy documents or supporting statements.

All suppliers must be able to demonstrate the minimum requirement detailed within the tender framework.

At Real Ideas, we aim to help our Members and other SME’s achieve these objectives. We are therefore happy to provide support and guidance through our membership programme to those that would like to improve their ability in achieving these.

If suppliers sub-contract any part of their service, they must ensure that any sub-contractors also meet our standards. We expect all suppliers to continue to meet our standards while working with us and in the future. If they do not, we will work together with suppliers to address the problem. If we are unable to resolve the problem even after help has been provided, we may end the contract and remove the supplier from our Preferred Suppliers List.

FAQs

Why and How do I join the Real Ideas Preferred Suppliers List?

Prior to joining the Preferred Suppliers List, suppliers will be asked to demonstrate Social Value and the steps they are taking to tackle inequalities and promote equity.

Suppliers will be asked to demonstrate how they match our standards and commitments.

Depending on value and impact, suppliers may also be asked to complete an additional Pre-Qualification questionnaire depending on the value of contract/tender opportunities (please refer to the Financial Procedures – purchasing goods and services).

Opportunities will be advertised to our Preferred Suppliers and via our Members portal and on Real Ideas website.

Being on an Approved List is no guarantee that suppliers will get work, however this will be Real Ideas first port of call in the event of new service opportunity.

We want to work with a wide range of suppliers big and small but recognise that some may require more support from our Membership programme than others.

Why are Real Ideas asking for data on Inclusion and how will it be used?

Everyone is welcome at Real Ideas.

We believe that valuing diversity sits at heart of positive social change and that we need to be inclusive to make real and lasting change.

We recognise that some of the sectors we work in are biased towards those who are white, male, cisgender and non-disabled. At Real Ideas we’re working to build a culture where difference is valued and where anyone, from any background, can do their best work and feel part of our organisation either as a potential employee, a partner or a supplier of goods and services.

To help us understand how we’re doing and what we can do to keep improving we need to understand more about who wants to work with us.

To help us on our journey to a more inclusive organisation we ask people to complete our short equality, diversity, and inclusion survey.

All information entered into this form is anonymous and will not be shared with the shortlisting panel or used in any way to help determine the outcome of an application for a job, tender or opportunity and will only ever be reported in aggregate (summary) form.

Do I have to be a member to be a supplier?

No, although we would love you to become a member! By being a member, you get notification of any tenders or partnering call outs.
