Liskeard Library - Local Community First Peek

Upcoming Dates
Be one of the first to take a look at Liskeard Library before its official opening!

Real Ideas are delighted to invite the local community to join us for a first peek at Liskeard Library whilst it’s under refurbishment, on Saturday 9th of September from 11am to 3pm to celebrate this year’s Liskeard Unlocked!

The spectacular building is an original Passmore Edwards Library and was designed as a purpose-built library for the town of Liskeard in 1896. Real Ideas have set about to breathe new life into the space and deliver a library fit for the 21st century, with high quality, contemporary spaces that create a gateway to support, enrich and extend activities across the town.

Whilst we’ll still be busy with the renovations – expect hard hats, high-vis and very limited facilities – we’re excited to offer guided tours of the building where we can show you the work done so far, introduce you to the Real Ideas team and share our plans for the official launch programme.

As the Library is still a working site, we’re not able to offer facilities such as toilets, lift access or refreshments. Wheelchair users and those with pushchairs are welcome to join us, but as the building’s lift won’t yet be in-use, we can only offer a tour of the downstairs area.

Book your free ticket to be one of the first to take a peek at Liskeard Library before its official opening!
