Kieran kindly volunteered to take part in the Game Changer food skills share session. These sessions have been designed to allow young people to share a food-based skill, story, insight, experience or a recipe with fellow Game Changer peers.
Kieran took part in a planning session in which he was supported to generate a plan, recipes and joining instructions. He has recently started a keto diet and wanted to share his experience so far and some delicious recipes.
Then it was down to the delivery of the session. Kieran talked with expertise and confidence about his chosen subject; answering questions and giving a true insight into his journey. He then took to the kitchen and led a cook along session, making meatballs with spinach, tomato and mozzarella. To top it off, this was accompanied by some mouth watering almond fries.
Kieran should be incredibly proud of the session that he delivered. The effort he put in was reflected in the quality and enjoyability of the session.
The food skills share sessions are linked to a digital badge to showcase and evidence the skills learnt and the process taken from planning to delivery.
If anyone else has a food based skill or recipe they would like to share and develop into a live session please get in touch with your navigators or me Billy.trenerry@realideas.org
Once again a massive well done and thank you to Kieran, top job!
