Articulation is The National Gallery’s nationally acclaimed public speaking initiative for young people aged between 14 and 23, designed to promote the appreciation and discussion of visual culture. It engages young people, regardless of background or experience, with art and develops their confidence and ability to express their opinions, thoughts and conclusions.

The annual Articulation Prize in England will take place in art galleries and museums around the country culminating with the Grand Final in March 2023. Articulation Prize Scotland will take place in December at the University of Stirling.

A programme of activities takes place nationally and, increasingly internationally. You can learn more about the programme in this video or on the National Gallery’s website here.
