Seeds for Plymouth - Immersive Wildflower Experience

22nd May 2022 to 26th June 2022 Market Hall Dome Experience Child Friendly, Digital Technology, Family Friendly, Green Eco, Immersive, May Half Term
Book Now

Colour in your very own wildflower to see them come alive in the
Market Hall immersive dome and re-wild our virtual city with green spaces and
wildlife. As more flowers emerge, bees, insects and other pollinators will begin
to thrive!

This interactive immersive experience has been developed in
collaboration by Real Ideas and Pollenize CIC as part of Seeds For Schools, a
crowdfunded project to equip every school child in Plymouth with a free packet
of wildflower seeds; that’s 36,000 eco-heroes! Bring your child to the Market
Hall immersive dome to see how their own small contributions can create huge positive
impact for pollinators and our planet.

All colouring sheets and pencils are provided.

A number of sessions also
include a live reading of ‘Ziggy’s Frightening Flight’, a popular children’s
story book. It tells the story of Ziggy the honey bee to highlight the global
problem of habitat loss and the relationship between humans and wildlife.
Stunning artwork captures the imagination of young readers and brings to life a
very real threat to our world. Find out more about the story here.

Live Storytelling is only available on Monday 11th, Tuesday 12th, Wednesday 13th, Thursday 14th, Tuesday 19th, Wednesday 20th, Thursday 21st, and Friday 22nd April for both sessions.

On the 21st of April, we will also be joined by a volunteer who will be signing the storytelling in British Sign Language!

Arrival and Admission – Please make sure you have your ticket
to hand, ready for check-in. We cannot guarantee entry into events for late
arrivals. Your ticket gives you entry to the experience named on your ticket only. All
children must be accompanied by an adult. This is an exclusive rate for the Seeds For Schools project.

This activity is supported by the Green Minds Project which is funded by the Urban Innovation Actions Fund.

Travel Information

Market Hall, Duke St, Devonport, Plymouth PL1 4PS

At Market Hall, we’re working on a dedicated place for parking but for now, it’s limited. We are an environmentally conscious organisation and encourage our visitors to prioritise green travel. Please consider getting the bus, cycling or walking to visit us. We have plenty of space for bikes to be parked securely on-site and one electric car charging point.

More information on bus routes and car parks nearby can be found here –

We value the relationship we have with our neighbours so if you need to drive to Market Hall, please avoid parking on the pavements around the building or in front of people’s drives. Please make use of the car parks we have identified in the area that are all within walking distance.

When you arrive, please use the main entrance via the steps (Duke Street) or ramp (via Wall Street).

When leaving the building at night please be respectful and consider the people living in the residential area.

There are a couple of disabled parking spaces on site – please advise us of any additional needs so we can make your visit enjoyable and comfortable.

There is a wheelchair friendly entrance on the west side of the building. The Market Hall is an accessible building, with accessible toilet facilities, lift access to upper floors and an accessible bar. Blue badge parking is available at the rear of the building.
