A ground-breaking digital,
immersive, archive creative experience – like none other in the world.

Co-Founder of the
critically acclaimed Wildworks landscape theatre company, Bill Mitchell was
described as a ‘pioneer’ in his obituary in The Guardian following his passing
in 2017. He dazzled audiences and astounded critics
with works such as ‘The Passion’, ‘100: The Day Our World Changed’, ‘A Very Old
Man with Enormous Wings’, ‘Tristan and Yseult and ‘The Beautiful Journey’ in
the Devonport Docks.

his untimely death, Bill bequeathed his attic, a physical and digital resource of incredible
artefacts as a gift for the artist in everyone, to inspire a fresh generation
of creators, makers, thinkers and radicals.

In 2020 Bill’s collection was removed from its
original Attic location in his home and installed as an artists’ creativity
resource in Krowji, Creative Kernow’s artist hub in Redruth. In addition,
Falmouth University Archive Department led in the cataloguing of much of the
collection’s 2D content.

Over a number of
years leading interdisciplinary digital artist Scott Fletcher has worked to
archive and showcase the collection and create an evocative, live public
experience and encounter like none other in the world-class immersive dome.

Bill's Attic – Archive Experience is an incredible new way to immerse in, engage with and expand on, works of extreme cultural resonance. Experience it for yourself this summer at Market Hall.

Please consider getting the bus, cycling or walking to visit us. We have plenty of space for bikes to be parked securely on-site and one electric car charging point.

More information on bus routes and car parks nearby can be found here –

We value the relationship we have with our neighbours so if you need to drive to Market Hall, please avoid parking on the pavements around the building or in front of people’s drives. Please make use of the car parks we have identified in the area that are all within walking distance.

When you arrive, please use the main entrance via the steps (Duke Street) or ramp (via Wall Street).

When leaving the building at night please be respectful and consider the people living in the residential area.

There are a couple of disabled parking spaces on site – please advise us of any additional needs so we can make your visit enjoyable and comfortable.
