RIO has been commissioned by the Department for Work and Pensions to run sessions in the South West for people of all ages who are looking for work around different areas of employment.
‘Define Your Future’ is targeted at those who are disabled or with a health condition who are finding employment opportunities difficult, due to their disability or health issues that they may have. These sessions invite people aged 16-64 to come together to help change the way that businesses approach recruitment.
If you are disabled or have a health condition which is preventing you from finding job opportunities then join our consultation sessions to explore ways in which your personal skills and qualities could be matched to local jobs. You will get the chance to work alongside employers to gain an insight into their industry and this will enable employers to see just how employable you are.
These sessions are taking place in the Mendips. If you meet the criteria above and are currently unemployed, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07595 491018. If you are a business which is under pressure to recruit and wants to find a new way of reaching untapped people and skills, which makes a difference and creates social value, then get in touch with email@example.com or call 07854 682142.
‘Make It Real’ is aimed at people in West Somerset aged 16-64 who are interested specifically in making and construction or the leisure and tourism industry. These sessions will provide people with ‘taster opportunities’ which will enable you to gain an insight into the related industry and find out more about the sector. You will also get the chance to take part in some real community based project work, and receive personalised coaching and support.
If you are aged 16-64, currently unemployed and want to find out more, please emails firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07595 491018.
‘Ready For Your Future’ invites those new to or experienced in the digital or food sector in North Devon to take part in activities which will challenge you and widen your experiences in these sectors.
Programme 1: Making Digital is aimed at those interested in getting experience and a possible career in the digital sector. You can meet businesses in the industry through various taster days, have the chance to develop your digital skills and explore routes into the industry with a work route advisor.
Programme 2: Growing Roots allows you to explore ideas in the food industry alongside local businesses. You’ll also gain first-hand experience of working in the industry and have the chance to find out more about working in the sector.
If this sounds right up your street and you are aged 16-64 and are currently unemployed, then please contact email@example.com or call 07773 211354.
