Based on the successful social enterprise delivery programme devised for Cornwall Council, RIO has designed ‘Surplus for Purpose’ four day course, which is aimed at providing employers and their workforce with the skills needed to be enterprising, innovative and more commercial in the current often challenging environment.
Surplus for Purpose is a unique programme of support, designed to meet the needs of key staff that have an important role to play in revolutionising services for the benefit of all. This programme has been designed specifically for forward thinking schools, local authorities, public and third sector organisations and has been developed through our experience of piloting similar content to over 100 staff of the largest unitary authority in England.
This four day programme will equip staff with the tools they need to identify opportunities, make a strong business case, and most importantly, it will ensure they understand how to approach things in a way that chimes with the culture and values of your organisation.
The four day course begins on Thursday 21st April, and will take place on the following two Thursdays until 5th May. Day 4 will take place 2 to 3 months later on a mutually convenient date for each participant. To book onto the course is £600 plus VAT per person.
Surplus for Purpose is being delivered by RIO with support from Social Enterprise UK and Cornwall Council.
