RIO is looking for volunteers for its social enterprise hub

Real Ideas Organisation (RIO) has a volunteering opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience in the hospitality and events industry and someone wanting to make a difference to their community at the same time.

RIO’s social enterprise community hub Devonport Guildhall in Plymouth is looking for Column Bakehouse Events Assistants to work in Column Bakehouse assisting in taking orders, handling enquiries and clearing the bakery, but also representing Column Bakehouse at local external food events, promoting and selling their fresh bread to customers.

They will also get the chance to support during busy events at Devonport Guildhall.

Devonport Guildhall is RIO’s main office but also a venue which regularly holds private and corporate events, but also events for the community, including live music nights and family-friendly events.

Column Bakehouse is situated in Devonport Guildhall, and is an artisan bakery which uses locally-sourced ingredients wherever possible, and makes fresh lunches and pastries and hand-crafted breads.

The start date for these volunteering roles is 27th April 2014.
