Four RIO Talent Match Apprentices shared their insights into working on Talent Match Cornwall one year in, and have revealed their thoughts in an in interview-style video.
All four Apprentices (Jamie Gamble, Jack Harrison, Tommy Gundry and Kelly Ronaldson) were long-term unemployed, but through Talent Match, they gained qualifications and valuable work experiences that they can take with them into the future.
In this video, they reveal the challenges they came across, the opportunities that opened up to them and the aspects that they have found to be the most valuable to them since joining the programme.
Their achievements included meeting with the press, liaising with Talent Match partnership organisations, and recruiting young people for Talent Match Cornwall.
Since Talent Match Cornwall began, six new Apprentices have joined the team, and the original Apprentices have moved on to find further employment or return to education. Jamie successfully applied for the position of YPCCA Team Coordinator within RIO for Talent Match and Jack is now a Level 3 Admin Apprentice for the same team.
