The work of Our Way International has been profiled by the British Council, with an in-depth case study of the young social enterprise on their website.
Our Way International is formed of some very ambitious young people from Plymstock School, after the school enlisted the help of RIO to increase the participation or study of foreign languages in school. The group of young students formed Our Way in 2013 and have already gone on to win awards for their social enterprise and make a positive impact in their community and beyond. Their social enterprise, an international trade company called Our Way, worked with local businesses to raise the profile of their goods and introduce them to a French market. They also visited Plymouth’s twin city Brest in France to develop relationships with key business contacts there.
Recently their work has won them a British Academy Schools Language Award and the British Council is now using their case study to demonstrate their impact on international trade.
The work of Our Way compliments the efforts of the British Council to create international opportunities for UK residents and people in other countries.
