Dave Gyll-Murray

Consultant for Progression

Dave is a Consultant for Progression and Learning Facilitator on RIO’s Game Changer programme, which aims to get young people aged 15-24 into training, employment or education.

Dave started his career by supporting those with learning disabilities presenting challenging behaviour before working for White Gold as an Engagement Worker, supporting disadvantaged people in Cornwall to fulfil their potential. He then worked as an Employment Adviser for Reed in Partnership before joining RIO in April 2018. He specialises in training employability skills, mentoring and empowering young people and discovering new, non-traditional routes into future pathways by creating relationships with employers.

“Progress comes from putting yourself into unfamiliar territory. It’s how we grow and develop. If you always do what you have always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always had. RIO challenges both its staff and it’s Game Changer participants to think creatively, no two days are the same and it’s a privilege to work for such a forward thinking company”.

Dave also has a strong and passionate background in music and the creative sector, and tours extensively with his band outside of work.
