Real Ideas Organisation (RIO) is giving unemployed young people the chance to ‘Make Change Happen’, through their new learning programme starting on 22nd September. The learning programme aims to encourage and accredit people working for positive social change, and will at the end equip everyone with a real qualification.
Young people taking part will gain a Bronze Social Enterprise Qualification, a Level 1 on the Qualifications and Credit Framework. They will get a chance to support the startup of a new social enterprise, which will have a positive impact on the community and also a positive impact on their career.
During the course, the young people will learn key employability skills, including communications and marketing, team-working skills, and specific social enterprise skills, including how to run their own social enterprise event.
The 8 day course takes place over 22nd – 25th September, and 29th September – 2nd October at the RIO office on 26 Fore Street in Liskeard. Anyone aged 18-25 can apply. If interested, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07595 491021.
