2 separate opportunities to deliver Unconscious Bias Training (in person and online delivery possible)

Real Ideas have a variety of opportunities for the delivery of Unconscious Bias Training both in and out of the creative sector. This is as part of a variety of work we are involved in aiming to support organisations to become more inclusive. We have 2 distinct opportunities and would welcome expressions of interests and quotes to fulfil the following activity. We will accept expressions of interest for one or both opportunities.

Opportunity 1:

We would like to commission 2 x one day, in person, training sessions for established arts/cultural organisations in Cornwall. We would like the work to be delivered prior to the end of June if possible.

This training should meet the following aims/outcomes:

• Give a thorough introduction to how and why bias can occur eg in behaviours at work, interactions with clients/beneficiaries and recruitment practice (we have identified a particular need to focus on racial and gender bias).
• Provide real and useful examples of lived experience relating to bias that can inform and support improved practice.
• Ensure tools and techniques that can be employed to make changes are provided including those that enable the participating organisations to set targets and track progress.
• Offer the opportunity for a facilitated follow up (online, one per training session) delivered by the training provider to support participants to reflect on how the training is being used.

We would welcome written expressions of interest for this work of no more than 1000 words that demonstrate your credibility and track record in this field. Please include the number of participants you have delivered unconscious bias training to in the past and some evidence of the response of your previously trained participants. Please enclose quotes which include associated expenses for delivery of in person training in the west of Cornwall (this does not need to include room hire).

Opportunity 2:

We would like to commission a series of 2 x 3 hour Unconscious Bias Training sessions that can be delivered online and can be accessed by business of any sector. These should cover the following and be aimed at managers, business owners and those with an HR responsibility.

• Give a thorough introduction to how and why bias can occur, eg in behaviours at work, interactions with staff including internal staff management processes, and recruitment practice.
• Provide real and useful examples of lived experience relating to bias that can inform and support improved practice.
• Ensure tools and techniques that can be employed to make changes are provided including those that enable the participating organisations to set targets and track progress.

We would welcome written expressions of interest for this work of no more than 1000 words that demonstrate your credibility and track record in this field. Please include the number of participants you have delivered unconscious bias training to in the past and some evidence of the response of your previously trained participants. Please enclose quotes for total costs of this work.
