Future Make Challenge 3 Q&A

13th May @ 9:30 am - 10:00 am

Future Make, Real Ideas’ creative-techy-making programme for 7-11 year olds, has come up with a series of weekly challenges to engage children in interesting and fun ways to learn and make stuff while at home.

Each challenge is designed around one of the 4 Future Make roles – media creator, extreme engineer, ideas designer, remote operator – and also helps children to think about and develop some key 21st century skills.

Rather than a ‘how to’ with steps to follow, the Future Make Challenges are more open ended, setting a problem to be solved, offering a few hints and tips, and then allowing children to get on with the business of figuring it all out!

Importantly, challenges have been created with lockdown in mind and make the most of household objects and recycled materials that should be readily to hand.

Each is structured with extension activity and thinking for inquisitive youngsters in mind and also accompanied by a mid-week Q&A webinar for support and ideas sharing.

The third Future Make Challenge is a ‘movement’ challenge and will be released on Monday 11 May.
