Fermented Food Workshop

In this one-day workshop at C-Space, Newquay, we will delve into the wonderful world of fermentation. You will learn all about the process, the variety of fermented foods available, how to use them and the many health benefits these nutrient rich foods can offer.
This will be a hands-on course where you will have a go at making your own jar of fermented vegetables from a choice of Organic, locally grown produce. You will be shown how to make fermented drinks such as kombucha and kefir using the live ‘mother’ cultures (which you will get to take home). There will of course be plenty of tasters throughout the day too!
By the end of the session you will have the skills and knowledge to be able to make delicious fermented food and drink at home. You will have access to the Consciously Cultured fermenting group on WhatsApp which will provide you with as much support as you need in all your fermenting endeavours.
Whether you are a newbie or looking to hone your skill, there is sure to be something for everyone. 
****Your Tutor**** 
The course will be led by Caitlin Walsh; founder of Delea Fermented Foods. Caitlin was introduced to fermented foods and the microbiome whilst on her travels. Having suffered with gut problems for most of her life Caitlin has found regularly eating fermented foods has improved her own health dramatically. Unable to find fermented foods locally in Cornwall she decided to set up Delea as a way of sharing her knowledge and experience of these delicious and nutritious foods and to get more people fermenting!
