Support is available for all Cornish businesses thanks to the Engine Room project, as the second networking event takes place later this month. The Engine Room is a free programme of support for start-ups, SMEs, social enterprises and entrepreneurs in Cornwall. It offers business support and advice, as well as mentoring and networking opportunities.
Their first successful networking meeting last month gave Cornish enterprises the chance to discuss their business and receive expert advice and the second event, taking place on Tuesday 25th March, promises just as much support.
The networking events have been organised by the Real Ideas Organisation (RIO) in partnership with Cornwall School for Social Entrepreneurs, Cornwall College and Cornwall Neighbourhoods for Change.
The event aims to bring Cornish entrepreneurs together for an evening of networking opportunities, and they will be able to hear from those who have already benefitted from the Engine Room project. This event is the second in a series of networking events, which is taking place Tuesday 25th March from 6-8pm in RIO’s Liskeard office at 26 Fore Street in Liskeard. Refreshments will be provided.
Engine Room clients and other businesses can look forward to similar events which will be announced on the RIO website, www.realideas.org.
Ed Whitelaw, Lead Developer at Real Ideas Organisation, is helping to lead on the Engine Room project. He said, “We’re really excited about being able to offer this service to Cornish enterprises. As a social enterprise ourselves, we understand how worthwhile it is to do the work that we do, but also that a little bit of practical help goes a long way. It’s great to be able to support any enterprise, regardless of size or position in the market.”
RIO is a pioneering social enterprise working to support people to build better futures, and has a proven track record in working with businesses to help get their social enterprises off the ground, turning ideas into concrete and successful business ventures.
