Meet the team behind our Game Changer programme

Game Changer supports young people aged 15 - 24 in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly. As lead delivery partner, we are lucky to have a team of experienced navigators that all share the same passion – helping young people to realise their potential.

Meet the team of navigators

A navigator is a person who helps guide you on your Game Changer journey. They will be your point of contact on the programme and will help you on your next steps.

Alex Sparrow

Alex believes that barriers shouldn’t be there – everyone should have the opportunity to overcome them to achieve what they want in life. With 10 years’ experience, Alex helps people to understand their barriers and look to give them what they need to overcome them in any situation.

He loves making a positive impact on young people’s life – maybe he could do the same for you?

Paul Baxter

Paul covers the East of Cornwall and is in charge of looking after our brilliant online offer and connecting young people to our five awesome partners! Paul is all about helping to create opportunities for young people.

Since we’ve been in and out of lockdown, Paul has been busy creating a wonderful mix of online sessions for young people to get involved with. Primarily, Paul looks to introduce young people to our sector partners to highlight their support and runs regular Online Opportunity Hacks – sessions that help participants searching and applying for jobs, showcases live job roles and opportunities and shares essential tips, tricks, tools and resources.

Helen Power

Got an idea or a direction you want to go in but not sure on how to go about making it a reality? That’s where Helen comes in. Helen looks to work directly with young people to discover what they feel they need to move things forward.

Covering West Cornwall from Falmouth to The Lizard and with a passion for creative arts and enterprise, Helen supports creative online sessions and is also involved in our Generation E! programme that often crosses over with Game Changer.

Emma Hamblin

More so than ever, wellbeing and mental health has been front and foremost for Emma. Since the first lockdown in particular, she has created several ways for young people to discuss their worries and to help them in regard to their mental health.

She runs a range of interesting and enlightening wellbeing sessions that look to boost young people on the programme and offer them a safe space to talk.

Looking after Redruth, Cambourne and Pool, plus some of the Isles of Scilly and with over 20 years of experience supporting young people, you’ll catch Emma on one of our online inductions.

Kelly Davies

For Kelly, there is no barrier too big when it comes to helping young people to realise their own potential. With a passion for opening young people’s eyes to the possibilities, Kelly is there to help achieve your goals and ambitions.

Kelly has a particular interest in helping women on the programme to boost their confidence, meet likeminded women in similar situations and to empower them to achieve their goals.

Sarah Carroll

A brand new addition to the team, Sarah will be covering East Cornwall and we’re delighted to have her on board. Having fitted in well, Sarah is making great strides in helping young people and, using her 10 years of experience as a youth worker, is starting to make things happen for young people in her area. With a passion for social action and community projects, we pleased to have Sarah join our team of navigators.
