Sandy Meloy

Sandy is RIO's Contracts Operations Manager and heads up RIO's Contract Delivery team.

Responsible for the smaller, specialist contracts that RIO holds, Sandy sees contracts through from inception to completion, ensuring that every aspect of every contract is delivered on time, to budget and to the absolute highest standard.

Sandy's degree in paediatric nursing ideally positions her to work with children, young people and adults, supporting them all to find opportunities to move forward. Working at the NCH Cornwall's Children's Fund for six years, Sandy's work saw her lead a team of people to deliver services in Cornish Schools as well as run a participation strand which ensured that children have a say on services relevant to them. During a secondment to Cornwall County Council, Sandy was also responsible for working with children and young people to write and implement the Active Involvement Strategy, which is still in use today. Along side her practical experience, Sandy has also studied modules in research with children and young people and working in the community with children and young people – which helped her get her degree.

All of Sandy's previous work rings true with RIO's own goals, services and values; ideally positioning her for her current role.
