Market Hall lights up for its debut digital showcase

By 18th November 2016 No Comments

On the evening of Tuesday 15th November, the Real Ideas Organisation opened the Market Hall, Devonport, for creative individuals, digital organisations and city leaders to come together and witness a glimpse of the spectacular Grade II listed building, which is set to become a digital and creative hub after its extensive restoration.

The restoration and reopening of the Market Hall as a digital ‘marketplace’ presents many social, economic and cultural opportunities it presents for Plymouth and the region. When it opens in 2018, the Market Hall will offer workspace for digital businesses, creating a digital tech cluster; there will be events, conference, exhibition and experimentation space; learning space for children, young people, adults and those with a community, rather than professional interest; and a visitor offer, in the form of a 15m immersive dome cinema, the first of its kind in England, offering a host of excellent entertainment, education and business experiences.

The evening was made possible with valued partners i-DAT, The Media Workshop, Devonport High School for Boys, City College Plymouth, Highly Interactive, UCSP Ltd, Plymouth City Council and Clockwork Audio.

Watch this space to be kept up to date with exciting developments, future events and news as the Market Hall development progresses. If you are interested in further opportunities to collaborate and work together then please do not hesitate to get in touch – email info@realideas.org, or call 0845 8621288.
